4th Annual Raising the Roof PANCAKE BREAKFAST

Written by

The Corner Brook Community Coalition (CCHH) on Housing and Homelessness and our partner CBC would like to invite you to participate in the 4th Annual Raising the Roof PANCAKE BREAKFAST to help fight homelessness and raise awareness about housing in our province on Tuesday, February 12th, 2013.

As you know, in Corner Brook, there are people who are struggling to find safe, clean and affordable housing.   An event like this one helps to shine the spotlight on the problem of homelessness as well as raise money for housing solutions in our community.

In 2012, our local event was attended by over 300 individuals and families.  Provincially, this year’s event will be the largest ever with various locations in St John’s, Stephenville, Labrador City, Carbonear, Gander, Grand Falls-Windsor, Happy Valley-Goose Bay, Marystown and more.

An event of this magnitude requires a significant amount of volunteers to make it happen, and we are asking that you consider joining us as and lending a hand at our event. As an event volunteer, your role would be to help with a variety of duties that may include: serving plates of breakfast, helping with the bussing of tables, filling coffee stations, cooking, etc.  The involvement of community volunteers is one of the main reasons the events are successful and they could not happen without you!

The Corner Brook event is taking place at St. John the Evangelist Church on Main Street from 7am-11am.  We would like to ask you to commit at least one hour of the morning to this event.  If you are unable to serve, we hope that you are all able to come and enjoy breakfast with us regardless.  If you would like to discuss the event or any other particulars, please do not hesitate to contact Julie Crouse.  She can be reached at (709) 634-7927 or by e-mail This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
