Pizza Party!

Written by

Congratulations Corner Brook youth for collectively earning 500 CYN bucks.  And as most of you already know, for every 100 CYN bucks you guys collectively earn, there is a pizza party thrown in your honour, which is exactly what will be happening this Friday night at 7pm!  So, come hungry everyone, and I hope to see you all there.

Some Old, but Great News!

Written by

Forgive me for not posting this sooner everyone, but it turns out Corner Brook’s skate park is finally going to be upgraded!  Whenever the weather permits in the spring, the city will be installing two new pieces, a grind box, and a picnic table (pictured above).  These designs came from the input of our very own skaters, and they will be installed by the Canadian Ramp Company (the same guys who gave us new equipment last year).  A big thank you goes out to everyone involved!

Harbour Haunt 2013 not happening

Written by

Sorry folks, Harbour Haunt 2013 is officially a no go.  The reason being is that we simply could not find a space in time this year to host our event.  All of us involved with Harbour Haunt have been desperately hunting for a place since early September with no luck.   Practically all of the vacant spaces in Corner Brook were not available to us because the property owners were only interested in long-term investors.  Basically, they were only looking to sell their spaces; not just donate or rent them to us for only two weeks.  And before anyone asks why we could not host it at any of the previous venues we had in previous years, it is because those spaces are now occupied with offices or are under construction.  It gravely saddens me to report this, and I deeply hope that we find a space in time next year for Harbour Haunt 2014.

Again, I am truly sorry for this news,
Ernest Power
